Bowling
We have a wide range of bowling to suit all types of bowlers from the novice to the experienced. We participate in three local leagues, the Littlehampton Gazette League, the C & M Trophies League and the BML Triples League. There is also a full range of competitive and social bowling to suit all levels. These include friendly fixtures, rolls-ups, external and internal competitions, drives and day events. The day events include Presidents Day, Ladies Day, Founders Day, Two Wood Yardstick and Two Wood Drawn Triples. Apart from Ladies Day all are mixed events.
On Monday and Friday mornings during the summer months we run two internal triples leagues which are usually well supported. Organised roll-ups take place every Tuesday and Thursday mornings throughout the year. When the weather is too bad in the winter there are two short mats which can be rolled out in the clubroom. A few home and away short mat matches are arranged in the winter months.
For the hardy members of the club two pyramid competitions are run throughout the winter months. There are two competitions a singles and pairs both are for mixed bowlers. Players make their own arrangements to play three games each month from October until March.
New members as well as existing members can benefit from some coaching from our qualified coach.On the third Sunday in May we hold our annual Open Fours Tournament. This is open to mixed teams of fours from other bowls clubs (Two Ladies and two Gents). Teams compete for a perpetual trophy and cash prizes are awarded to the first, second and third places.
