The club is probably one of the youngest clubs in West Sussex and was founded in May 1991. The bowling takes place on one of the few outdoor all weather surfaces in West Sussex and is played on all year round. The all weather surface is particularly suitable for bowlers who now find that bowling on grass is becoming more difficult due to the heaviness of the green. The green usually accommodates seven rinks but is sufficiently large that on the odd occasion can comfortably converted to eight rinks.

We have a wide range of bowling to suit all types of bowlers from the novice to the experienced. We participate in three local leagues, the Littlehampton Gazette League, the C & M Trophies League and the BML Triples League. There is also a full range of competitive and social bowling to suit all levels. These include friendly fixtures, rolls-ups, external and internal competitions, drives and day events. The day events include Presidents Day, Ladies Day, Founders Day, Two Wood Yardstick and Two Wood Drawn Triples. Apart from Ladies Day all are mixed events.

The one which was finally selected was Needle Felt from Dales Sports Surfaces of Leverton, Boston. The order was placed in early March and the work was carried out towards the end of the month. We were bowling on the new surface in early April, the result was excellent. Since the refurbishment, the club has attracted fourteen new members.
